Using the Vodafone answerphone
Vodafone call their answerphone service Recall.
Switching Vodafone answerphone off and on
To switch on and off divert to answerphone, you send "dial" code numbers:
- To switch conditional divert on (busy, not answered, unreachable), key 1211 [send]
- To switch conditional divert off, key 1210 [send]
- To switch unconditional divert on, key 1212 [send]
- To switch unconditional divert off, key 1213 [send]
To listen to your messages from your Vodafone, key 121 [send]
To listen to your messages from another phone (or when roaming), dial your vodafone number, and interrupt the answerphone greeting by pressing 9, and enter your pin code when prompted (the default pin is 3333)
On Vodafone, you can choose whether to be rung to hear a recording telling you of messages waiting (Voice Alert), or have them read out to you (Message Delivery), or to receive an SMS (Vodafone call it Telenote) alert. The first and last are free, but the Message Delivery is charged at normal call charge rates.
Selecting the alert method
- To select SMS alert, key 1218 [send]
- To cancel SMS alert, key 1219 [send]
- To select Voice Alert, call 121 and then key 90
- To select Message delivery, call 121 and then key 99
