The history of mobile phones
Mobile phones are seen as a modern invention, but they are a development of something that dates back a long way: communication.

Since those events, the technologies have merged and evolved to the point that we take it for granted that communication is available more or less everywhere, but this section looks at the significant steps along the way, and looks forward a little for a glimpse of the future.
