Contract Tariffs

With ‘Your Plan’, you can have ‘any network anytime’ for your inclusive ‘talk time’, or choose ‘Orange to Orange anytime’ or ‘Orange to Orange off-peak’. Orange to Orange also includes calls to landlines.

It consists of a ‘pick and mix’ selection of calls (‘Talk Time’), Text and Picture messaging as well as Insurance (‘Orange Care’).

Text only

You can also choose to have a text based plan where there are no inclusive minutes of calls, but there are 3000 texts included per month.

Calls are charged at standard out of package rates.

All ‘anytime’ tariffs have the same call charges after the inclusive minutes are used up.

Orange Online Contract Tariffs

Online Tariffs

Online tariffs are only available directly from Orange, online or by phoning.

You must connect with a new phone purchased online. This can be expensive if you wish to have a modern state of the art phone, but if you are happy with a more outdated model, you may get the phone free.

After 12/18 months on the plan, monthly charges revert to the standard price with no free bundle or service.

There is no rollover on the promotional tariffs.

Orange Care

Insurance is now charged for with all new tariffs (unless you are a small business customer), but is optional. It costs £5.00 per month.

Orange Premier Plans

Orange Premier Plans are effectively free ansaphone; a picture, text and video messages bundle worth £10.00 and a dedicated customer service team.

If you sign up directly with Orange, you also get free Orange Care; free memory mate and unlimited free phone trainer appointments.

These are available with anytime 600 and 900.

Line 2

You can choose to have a second price plan as line two on the same handset, and enjoy a £5 reduction on the line rental. You can opt to have an off-peak bundle on line 2 with TT30 on line 1, or have TT30 on line 2 with a higher talk time plan on line 1.

WAP services

Orange WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) services allow you to access information about the weather, sport, money etc. It works in a similar way to using a computer to connect to the internet, but all you need is a WAP compatible mobile phone.

Calls to 0800 Freephone Numbers

From 1^st December 2005, Orange now charge for voice calls to 0800 numbers. Data calls to 0800 numbers are also charged for.

Another tariff suits you better?

You can choose to be charged on the basis of many competitors’ tariffs (not every aspect is perfectly matched, but it’s broadly in line with the matched tariff). Orange call this the Orange Value Promise. This means you can choose to be charged by Orange on several of the tariffs listed in the costs section.

International Texts

Text messages sent to non UK mobile numbers from the UK cost 15p per message.

If you wish to send a message to the UK from abroad, it will cost an amount set down by the partner network which you are using, plus your normal message cost.

MMS Bundles

You can pay 25p per message to send a photo or opt for an add on bundle.

Choose between £3 for 15 photos, £6 for 30 photos or £12 for 60 photos. Unused bundled message allowances ‘roll over’ to the following month.

Talkshare

If you choose a talk plan with at least 120 minutes of inclusive calls, you can add Talkshare.

This allows up to 20 people to share talktime and messages.

Once inclusive time and messages are used up, costs are 5p/min for calls and 5p per text message between sharers.

Talkshare costs £14.50 per person.

Orange to Orange Anytime

Orange to Orange Anytime tariffs, where you got 50% more inclusive minutes, but none to other networks, are no longer available to new customers. If you are on that tariff already it still applies.
